Full‑Time Teaching Assistant for EYFS new starters – Sputhampton Area
Pay: £85–£95 per day
Contract: Full‑time, starting September 2026
Hours: 8:30–3:30 (term time)
A welcoming and nurturing primary setting in the Southampton area is seeking a committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The school encourages children to take pride in themselves and their community by promoting a holistic curriculum focused on social and emotional wellbeing as well as academic.

About the Role
- Helping Year R children settle into new routines and school
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support
- Helping children regulate emotions and develop independence
- Offering clear, consistent boundaries with a patient and empathetic approach
- Adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
Duties Include
- Supporting learning and development in class
- Supervising pupils during transitions, playtimes and lunchtimes
- Recording progress against learning targets
- Encouraging positive social skills and resilience
- Assisting with general classroom organisation
