About the Role
Supply Desk is seeking a Year 4 Classroom Teacher to join a successful and forward-thinking primary school in Southampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys bringing learning to life and creating an engaging classroom environment where children feel confident, motivated and able to achieve their potential.
You will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering high-quality lessons while meeting the diverse needs of pupils within the classroom. The school offers a friendly and supportive environment, with a strong focus on professional development, coaching and staff wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and purposeful lessons for a Year 4 class

Create an exciting and stimulating learning environment

Set high expectations for achievement, behaviour and personal development

Adapt teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of pupils

Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively

Use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching

Build positive and respectful relationships with pupils

Encourage children to become confident, independent and enthusiastic learners

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community

Maintain a positive and professional approach when working with pupils, parents and colleagues
Candidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching within a primary school setting

Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4, is desirable

Passion for teaching and learning

High expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour

Ability to inspire, motivate and engage pupils

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs

Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
