Supply Desk is offering an exclusive opportunity to our QTS supply candidates, to join our fully-funded behavior management CPD online workshop, in partnership with Proxima Education, on Tuesday 17 June, 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
As part of our continued commitment to support our educators with their continuous growth and development, we are fortunate enough to be working in partnership with Proxima Education to offer QTS supply candidates only, a unique opportunity to upskill and learn about the latest research and strategies related to behaviour management, with a focus on establishing authority.
This is an exciting opportunity for our QTS supply candidates to be exposed to an innovative style of (approximations) learning vs the traditional method, and to be exposed to evidence-based practices that supply staff are often not able to access. Additionally, it offers valuable insight into the research-backed strategies commonly implemented in permanent roles, providing a deeper understanding of effective, long-term teaching methodologies.
What can you expect from the workshop?
This session will be a safe space for QTS supply staff to focus on their growth and development around behaviour management. The session will consist of three parts:
- An overview of the latest research and evidence related to behaviour management.
- Responding to a range of common classroom scenarios linked to challenging behaviours.
- The opportunity to share strategies and receive feedback in a supportive and low-stakes atmosphere. (Please note that all your shared feedback and information will be received in written form -you will not be required to speak during this training.This webinar is designed for you to follow the trainer’s instructions, type your responses and receive written feedback throughout the session).
Following the workshop, participants will have full access to supporting learning materials and be able to review the scenarios and personal feedback received. In return, we kindly ask that all attendees must complete a short survey post-event and provide feedback related to the session.
Who are Proxima Education?
Established in 2022 by Robbie Coleman and Jasmine Leonard, Proxima has been working with leading teacher education providers to develop an innovative scenario-based approach to training, where teachers are able to practise and receive real-time feedback in a safe environment. Robbie is an educational research expert and was a founding employee of the Education Endowment Foundation.
