Supply Desk is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Whiteley.

You’ll support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them build confidence, communication skills and independence in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support.
  • Encourage communication and social development.
  • Support pupils with sensory and emotional regulation.
  • Work alongside teachers and therapists.
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Safeguard and support pupil wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience with SEND or Autism is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for helping young people succeed.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
