Salary: £29,344 – £44,919 (MPS/UPS)

A high‑performing secondary school in Leighton Buzzard is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Teacher from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist in Business Studies who is keen to join a forward‑thinking school with a strong focus on academic excellence and student development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and informative Business Studies lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan lessons that encourage analytical thinking, enterprise skills, and real‑life business understanding.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive, personalised feedback.
  • Maintain a purposeful and well‑organised classroom environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, department initiatives, and broader school activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver creative, interactive lessons.
  • Effective behaviour management and strong communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and raising student achievement.

Desirable

  • Understanding of Business Studies exam board specifications such as AQA, OCR, or Edexcel.
  • Willingness to support extra‑curricular or enrichment activities.
  • A reflective and proactive approach to professional development.
