The Role

We are looking for a proactive Cover Supervisor to oversee classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This full-time role begins September 26 and has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Your role will involve managing the classroom, delivering pre-prepared work, and ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and motivated.

• Confidence in leading a classroom and supporting young people
• A positive, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Experience in a school environment is beneficial but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

• Supervise classes and deliver set lesson plans
• Support student behaviour, focus, and progress
• Build positive relationships with students and staff
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
• Follow school policies and behaviour management procedures
