What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3–5 (or Grades 7–12), covering literature, language, and writing.
- Plan lessons that inspire students and encourage a genuine interest in English.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Encourage reading, critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
- Build positive relationships with students and create a classroom environment where all learners feel confident to participate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive and innovative English department.
- Help students develop their analytical, creative, and communication skills.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject; a teaching qualification such as QTS is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
- A genuine passion for English and the ability to make the subject engaging, accessible, and relevant.
- A commitment to supporting students in achieving their academic and personal potential.
- The enthusiasm and professionalism to contribute positively to the wider school community.
