About the Role

Supply Desk is recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist or inclusive school in the Chichester area.

If you’re passionate about creating opportunities for pupils with additional needs and believe that every learner can achieve with the right support, this could be an excellent next step.

You’ll deliver engaging and accessible lessons while working alongside experienced support staff to provide a structured and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver personalised and engaging lessons.
  • Teach pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Adapt learning to meet individual abilities and EHCP targets.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils.
  • Promote independence, resilience and confidence.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs and other professionals.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements

  • QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive teaching.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.
  • Patient, creative and flexible approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
