Role: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Full-time – Temporary to Permanent

£100 – £130 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a well-regarded school in the Bierton area. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute actively to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, helping to create a positive and engaging educational experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver lessons, providing targeted support to individuals and small groups.
  • Assist in developing and adapting learning resources to meet the diverse needs of students, in line with the school’s curriculum objectives.
  • Support assessment of student progress by providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers, and aid the implementation of improvement strategies.
  • Foster and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment by effectively applying the school’s behaviour management policies.
  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs or additional learning requirements, adapting approaches to suit varied learning styles.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed of current educational best practises and contribute to the school’s culture of learning.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential.
  • Proven experience in a comparable school-based role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
