This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The school provides a highly personalised curriculum, helping students develop communication, sensory, physical and life skills within a nurturing and supportive environment.
As a PMLD Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve goals that can be life-changing, celebrating every milestone and creating meaningful learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
- Support pupils with complex learning difficulties, medical needs, and physical disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, families, and external professionals.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote communication, independence, wellbeing, and personal development.
- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and pupil assessments.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with PMLD, SLD, Complex Needs, or SEND pupils.
- Understanding of sensory learning approaches and personalised learning.
- Patient, adaptable, and highly empathetic.
- Committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for learners with additional needs.
