Salary: M1–UPS3 (£34,398–£52,490) pro rata
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary Teacher with QTS to join an independent Christian school in Watford from September 2026. This is a part-time position working two days per week for one term.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and reflective practitioner with strong classroom management skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. The school is looking for someone who will positively contribute to its supportive learning environment and uphold the values and ethos of the school community.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the secondary curriculum
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps
- Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
- Uphold and support the Christian ethos of the school
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Previous secondary teaching experience – essential
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A thorough understanding of the secondary curriculum
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A professional, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
- An understanding of and respect for the Christian ethos of the school
