Overview
Supply Desk are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school in the Andover area on a long-term contract, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping to deliver personalised learning, promote independence and encourage positive social and emotional development.

This friendly and inclusive SEN school caters for pupils aged 4–16 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every pupil is supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Staff work collaboratively and benefit from excellent leadership, ongoing training and a strong focus on wellbeing.
We are currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who:
- Have experience working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
- Are patient, caring and passionate about supporting pupils with SEN.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Are confident supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Can promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Are adaptable, resilient and able to work as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
