Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire

Pay: £85.50–£95 per day, depending on experience
Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Supply Desk are working closely with a supportive secondary school in the Waterlooville area who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to make a genuine difference to students’ academic, social and personal development.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students across the school, including pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students

Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs

Helping students access the curriculum and develop their independence

Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities

Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Assisting with behaviour management
-
Helping prepare learning resources and materials
-
Supporting teachers with monitoring and tracking student progress
-
Encouraging students to develop confidence and achieve their potential

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within an SEN setting is desirable, but relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
