Hours: Full-time (term-time)

Pay: £168 – £232 per day

We are seeking a committed SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in the Southampton area. This is a rewarding long-term opportunity with an ASAP or September start, working with students who require additional support to access their learning.

You will play a vital role in creating an inclusive environment, adapting teaching strategies and supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Supporting students with a range of SEND requirements
• Creating inclusive and engaging learning environments
• Working closely with support staff, SENCO and external agencies
• Monitoring progress and adapting strategies accordingly
• Promoting confidence, independence and wellbeing
• Contributing to individual education plans (IEPs/EHCPs)

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with SEND students (desirable)
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
• Ability to differentiate effectively
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to supporting all learners
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
