About the Role
September is one of the busiest times of the year for schools, and Supply Desk is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming primary, secondary and specialist schools across Portsmouth.
Whether you’re an experienced TA or looking to begin a rewarding career in education, we have opportunities supporting pupils in mainstream classrooms, SEND provisions and one-to-one roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils individually and in small groups.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities.
- Encourage confidence, independence and engagement.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Adapt support to meet individual learning needs.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with children is desirable.
- Patient, caring and reliable approach.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
