Year 1 Teacher – Downley – September Start
Location: Downley, Buckinghamshire
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 per year

Are you a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher looking to make a real difference at the start of a child’s learning journey? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Downley from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed practitioner who is eager to support pupils transitioning into KS1, helping them develop confidence, independence, and strong learning foundations.

About the Role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and learning in line with the KS1 curriculum, creating a stimulating, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a creative and engaging curriculum, supporting pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development.

  • A creative and reflective KS1 practitioner, confident teaching Year 1
  • Skilled in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Calm, patient, and resilient, with a positive approach to behaviour management
  • Passionate about supporting pupils’ early learning, phonics, and core skills development
  • Committed to high expectations and inclusive practice
  • An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
  • Keen to engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and whole-school life
