About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and support pupils in Key Stage 2? We are seeking a passionate Year 4 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Teach a broad and balanced curriculum to a Year 4 class, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Differentiate learning activities to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and other additional needs.
- Monitor, assess, and track pupils’ progress, identifying areas for development and providing appropriate support.
- Use assessment information to inform future planning and ensure pupils continue to make progress.
- Provide targeted support and appropriate challenge to help pupils reach their individual potential.
- Promote positive behaviour through consistent and effective classroom management strategies.
- Develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other members of the school team to support pupil learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils’ progress, development, and wellbeing.
- Contribute to planning, assessment, moderation, and wider school initiatives.
- Ensure safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- The ability to differentiate learning effectively and support pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued and supported.
- A commitment to promoting high standards of behaviour, achievement, and personal development.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
