Pay: £85-£115pd (Dependent on experience)
Supply Desk are currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring SEN Learning Support Assistants to work within welcoming and inclusive schools in the Rickmansworth area. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and make positive progress throughout their educational journey.
The successful candidate will work alongside teachers, SENCOs and support staff to deliver tailored support both in and out of the classroom. You will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while promoting independence, engagement and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs
• Provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis and within small groups as required
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers and external professionals
• Adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
• Encourage independence, confidence and participation in learning
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Role Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (preferred)
• Understanding of a range of SEN needs and effective support strategies
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Positive behaviour management skills
• Passion for education and supporting young people
• Knowledge of safeguarding
• Primary or secondary school experience (desirable)
