Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic and engaging Modern Foreign Languages lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Inspire students through creative teaching that develops confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the target language.
- Plan and deliver a broad and stimulating curriculum that encourages cultural understanding and effective communication skills.
- Foster a passion for language learning by making lessons interactive, relevant, and enjoyable.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential through differentiated and inclusive teaching.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to drive achievement.
- Create a positive and purposeful classroom environment where high expectations and excellent behaviour are embedded.
- Contribute to extracurricular opportunities such as language clubs, cultural trips, themed events, or enrichment activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student progress and wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching MFL at secondary level is preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for language learning and cultural education.
- Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate young learners of all abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for creating engaging lessons that spark curiosity and independent learning.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to school life and professional development.
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
